Placer County Health & Human Services Building

The Engineering Enterprise designed the power, lighting, fire alarm, security, telecommunication, audiovisual, emergency radio responder communication, and distributed antenna systems as well as a 750kW photovoltaic system for the 148,000 square foot Health and Human Services Center, the first Zero Net Energy building in Placer County.

The Placer County Health and Human Services Center creates space to bring together six different County service groups, which allows for easier collaboration and enhanced support for Placer County residents. The facility also includes a flexible conference center and training spaces for use by county and community partners. Additionally, there is an outdoor play area for children, an employment center, and a two-story open space called "Collaboration Street” which encourages teamwork and cooperation between the different County service groups.

The Engineering Enterprise worked with HGA Architects to develop the criteria package for this project and then completed the electrical design as a member of the design-build team.
