“Don’t count the days, make the days count”
I find engineering to be exciting as there are always problems to be solved and that’s what I enjoy doing. Coming up with solutions to complex issues is very rewarding.
My advice to new TEE employees is ask a lot of questions. Press your principals/project engineers for guidance and mentorship at the beginning of your career to both widen your understanding of the engineering construction field and reduce the inevitable blind-spots that you’ll encounter.
Three things I admire most about my TEE team are their sense of humor, their humility, and their generosity.
When I was younger, I was drawn to the arts and to the theater, so I always envisioned a future in that arena. Now, as an engineer, I get to help design facilities that support those endeavors, which I thoroughly enjoy.
